Disconnected my Online Game, and from Discord every day

So every day I play online (Rainbow Six Seige, and often on Discord) with my friend.

Recently (last month or so)  I get disconnected from the game - in-game screen message reads "JITTER" in red on the R6 screen, and then after about 20 seconds, the game disconnects me from the server. If I am using Discord comms as well, that also goes off.

Once I reconnect to the game and discord, all is OK (until the next time).

 

Conclusion: It cannot be game related, or GPU or CPU related, so I assume it must be the internet that goes off somehow and then comes back on.

I have the HUB5 router giving me speeds of 897Mbps down and 105 Mpbs up, so speed itself isn't the issue.

Tomorrow, I will take the router offline and try again but I suspect maybe the router or cabling is the issue?

 

Any ideas as to a solution folks?

    A fault on the local part of your VM connection would not clear with a simple reconnection of discord, the problem may well be much further away than you first imagine.

    Check for known faults in your street. Try both methods:

    Call the local fault line: 0800 561 0061 – this is an automated number.

    Once the test begins click on: Run full test
    to include: Latency, Jitter, Packet loss & Upload speed

    The VM forum takes a while to display an image, Mods check we have not posted personal material or any other type of problematic content.

    The Jitter and Latency looks fine.

  • Well, a week on and it still does it.

    I'm at a loss as to why.

        We have an engineer due today.

         

        There are several issues Rebecca - the streaming services have all failed, YouTube videos buffer regularly even on playbacks lasting 3 minutes, and online gaming Jitter is ridiculously regularly (daily or even twice in an evening session)
