You will need to run a wired speed test on www.samknows.com/realspeed and post the results.
Run the FULL tests directly connected to the Hub in Router mode with a known good Cat 6 cable, making sure the device has a 1Gb NIC.

Thank you. I am with Macbook so I don't have an Ethernet port. The Decos and the Hub were working fine until a month ago when suddenly this happened.

Unfortunately the Samknows test needs a cable connection for best results, so can you borrow a Thunderbolt Ethernet adapter? This will allow you to test the actual speed to the Hub using the build in client in the Hub's firmware. However, there may be an iOS iphone app for Samknows? In either case, the Hub needs to be in Router mode, as VM will not give any support for 3rd party networking and modem mode.
Other than this, I assume you have checked for local faults on 0800 561 0061 or if you have a VM landline 150 as small local faults are not listed on the VM status page.
You could also copy and paste the power level connection stats from the Hub's admin console 192.168.0.1 along with the network log for comment, redacting the MAC addresses.

You're not still trying to use modem mode on the 5x are you by any chance?

It amazes how difficult it is to get folks to run & share the Samknow Realspeed test.
Perhaps the Realspeed test shows normal results to the VM Hub.- legacy1Alessandro Volta
Its not that hard for VM to make it look like it the person problem like in modem mode the MAC address is not by a router mode know MAC slow the speed down and even in router mode with the Deco they can slow the speed down the hardware and capability is there.
Due the hub 5x not having modem mode on the 10Gb port its clear VM want to move away from modem mode but due to modem mode on all other hubs thats hard to get away with unless modem mode was to not work right for some reason...
But of course we don't have all the facts just yet so lets wait for the OP to get wired and do some tests.

I am quite happy for the Realspeed test to be performed over a cup and wet string,
we would still get a reliable result for the speed of service to / from the VM Hub 5x.
