I have three pods and, where they reach, I have fair-to-good speeds. The trouble is that the pins don’t cover the entire house. It’s an old stonework building with basement and attic rooms. What are my options here? I’d happily pay for another pod but I gather the system won’t work with more than three? I’d happily take a monthly refund in the basis of not getting good speeds on all rooms of the house, but it’s coverage I’m lacking, not speeds.
You'll need to spend some money to get your own system suitable for that house, rather than relying on the pods. There are options.
You could get either a… (1) Mesh System, (2) Wireless router, (3) Wireless access point(s), (4) a pair of good quality Wifi Powerline Adaptors (least good option !), or a combination of (2&3).
Running ethernet cabling from the Hub to some wireless access points is the "gold standard" but a decent multi unit Mesh system is a good option if you cant run the cables for some reason.
Thank you both. Mesh it is then. Better start saving. I only actually need something of the same speed and reach of the pods, I just need five of them to cover everything.
