Connect app

Hi

The app hasn't been working for several weeks now. When I try to connect, I get a message "we can't find your hub".

I have reset the hub numerous times but to no avail. I have deleted the app from my iPhone and reinstalled it,  I have no VPN and am connected on my virgin media Wi-Fi but regardless of all this, the app still can't find the hub.

Guidance please

I (and many others on here) never use the App.  What are you using it for that cannot be done by just connecting to the Hub's setting and changing things there?

Have you disabled Private Relay on iOS ?  Apart from this, I would just remove the app and forget about it ......

  • Hi thanks for the responses, it’s not as I need the app for any particular reason it’s just nice to have the privilege of seeing whom is connected and to pause children’s connection without having to switch the main hub off,  also my understanding is that the hub 5 has smart security and network

protection and the only way of enabling this is via the cam connect app. I understand I can go through the hubs interface however it’s so much quicker to do it via the app.

The Connect app should be useful, but there have been so many reports of problems with it and VM don't seem to be doing anything to fix it. That's why people advise not using it.

we can't find your hub - usually means the VM back office system is not linked to your Hub.

The VM Hub also contains menus to show "Connected devices" and the Perform Wi-Fi and MAC filtering.

Do not be tempted to block any "unknown" devices they will for sure turn out to be an important laptop or the office VPN or a heating controller etc !
