Can't connect to Amazon sites

For near a week now I can't connect to any of the Amazon shopping sites I just get a black screen saying 

This site can’t be reached

www.amazon.co.uk took too long to respond.

I have tried different browsers, rebooting the router, resetting the router to defaults, clearing the DNS cache, wiping the browser cookies and history etc but It wont connect every other website I go to is completely fine. It's the same with any Amazon site I shop at UK, USA, Japan. I can only connect if I use a VPN to come from a different IP address. Anybody had similar or have an idea what to do to fix it.

    Disable Child Safe parental controls and/or change your device DNS servers to Google /Cloudflare (lots online on how to do this). Or just go to local independent tax paying stores.

    We are Colchester, Amazon UK is working fine for us without a VPN.

    There have been past issues where a VM router local to you fails and then some sites stop working, usually this can be seen in a trace route where early in the trace a VM node is passed
    and after that no further hops are resolved.

    Below is a trace route that has completed.

      Thanks for the suggestion changing my DNS server worked got off the VM DNS and now the Amazon sites connect and work fine. Unfortunately there no good locals shops for US and Japanese release blu-rays and games, local shops only sell UK releases so are limiting.
