Can no longer get into the settings of my HUB 3

Exact same problem that a myriad of other users have had over the past year (I've just read them all).

I can't log in to my HUB 3 using the 8-digit settings password printed on the underside of the router.

I have reset the router multiple times, correctly, for 45 seconds and even several minutes. Every time it reinitialises it still won't accept the default password.

I have tried from multiple browsers and other devices, to no avail.

Can this be fixed remotely or do I need a new router?

      Settling in

      Hello Adri,

I have run into the same problem.

No matter what device I use and however many times I do the 60s reset, I cannot access the settings of my hub 3.0 with the settings password.

Please can you share the solution with me.

      Thanks,

      Gabriel

        Hi Gross95

Thanks for your post and welcome to our community.

To clarify for us please, are you using the password printed on the bottom of the hub?

Could you also please confirm if you're following the pin hole reset steps as listed here

Please pop back to us when you can.

"Please can you share the solution with me."

Basically - there isn't one that permanently fixes the issue!

  • I am having the same problem with the settings page not accepting my password.
I have re-started my Hub 3 as mentioned but am still unable to log-in, as my password is still not being accepted.
    Any advice would be appreciated.

Hey DODGERN 👋🏽 Thanks for reaching out to us on here. 👋🏽

I'm sorry to hear about the issues with the settings issues you are facing on the Virgin Media hub.
Are you able to confirm if the pinhole reset has assisted with this?

      Let us know.

      Kind regards,
      Ilyas.

It is important to press RESET for 60 seconds and then to leave the VM Hub 3 powered on to revert to the factory condition, note this process differs from the VM help info.

After a 60 second RESET the Numeric Hub password ( not Wi-Fi password ) should be accepted, at http://192.168.0.1/   if the original  Numeric Hub password is not accepted, request a replacement VM Hub.
