Can I connect FTTC to Unifi Dream Machine Pro?

Hi,

I got FTTP connected and my home and then using coaxial cable is connected to HUB5.

Can I remove HUB5 and connect fibre directly to Unifi gate?

Lucky you have to use the hub but it has modem mode because its not a hub5x

So if I connect fibre to Ubiquiti UDM-PRO do I have to configure any settings like PPPoE?

No. I also have a Ubiquiti UDM Pro, connected to my hub5’s 2.5G port via an SPF+ to Ethernet connector that supports 1/2.5/10G.

VM do not use PPPoE, they use DHCP.  Providing you do NOT have a Hub 5X, just set the Hub to modem mode and then connect it to your Router.  It should issue the Router with a WAN IP and that's it.  Note only one port on the Hub can be connected when it's in modem mode and that's the cable to the Router.

You cannot avoid using the VM Hub.

If your service is connecting to the hub via a fibre to coax ONT, then the internet service is DOCSIS based RFoG.

The hub incorporates the cable modem which is necessary. As advised put the hub into modem mode which causes the broadband to be bridged to the connected router. If the Ubiquiti UDM-PRO has dynamic DHCP enabled by default then it will work out of the box (might require a reboot after the hub has been put into modem mode).
