Buffering stream box on recordings

I have a new mini stream box in my kitchen. It's fine to WATCH live TV but when I try to watch a recording it buffers.

I have run the "diagnostics" and it has 100% wifi very strong connection on the network so it can't be the signal. It is right next to a wifi pod. Can't be bandwidth as I have wifi6 with 350mbps connection.

Any ideas?

  • The Stream box doesn't record. Maybe there is signal interference from kitchen devices like a microwave oven etc.

As a test, move it beside the Hub and try it again.  Is it any better?  Whilst it is beside the Hub, try a cabled connection as well.  Is it better?

Are both the 360 box & the Stream box using WiFi?

Live channels come direct from the internet to the Stream box & not via the 360, which gets its channels directly from the coax connection. So if both are using WiFi for playback it is effectively utilising double the bandwidth for this operation.
