Broadband stopped working

On Saturday our internet stopped working in Lewisham ( London). Since then we’ve had a technician come on Tuesday. They said it was something wrong with wires outside and that it would be sorted out externally by Thursday ‘and to call virgin media on Thursday evening if it hadn’t’ - I’ve tried to get in touch with virgin media and instead have had automated responses and they’ve now booked another technician. Which, if the problem is indeed external, will be useless and a waste of their time and mine. Please can someone help?

    When the last technician attended, did they advise of what the external work required was? Was it a repull of a cable to service the property? Did they mention if permission would be required as these can also delay the work being completed?

     

    What did the team advise when you spoke to them?
