I have recently moved to virgin from Sky. My android device will not connect to the hub 5x WiFi. It finds it but stays at saved. Sky was fine.
I have tried setting the phone to 2.4ghz only but the same. Rebooted router, forgot the nw, reset the phone and all still fails.
iPhone and all other devices are fine! Tried earlier on neighbours BT and it connects straight away
any help would be appreciated
You will need to double NAT and hope VM do modem mode with your own better wifi router like the following:

Does the Hub 5x have WPA3_SAE enabled in the Wi-Fi security settings ?
It might be configured for WPA2_PSK / WPA3_SAE.
Try with just WPA2_PSK enabled on both the 2.4 & 5 GHz bands,
this can be more compatible for some devices.
Ty. It is set to just WPA2
so strange as it will connect to BT and it also connected to a customers when I was on a visit. iPhone won’t connect either.
The iPhone does or does not connect to the Hub 5x ?
Some devices just do not work with 802.11ax of the VM Hubs, some folks adding a basic Wi-Fi access point or a Wi-Fi 5 dual band repeater to get CCTVs etc working.
Sorry the iPhone will connect but I can’t hotspot from it to the android
