The green screen indicates hard drive failure, so you've been very lucky with the box recovering.
I will be very surprised if the fix is anything other than temporary.

Hi mollymootuppenc,
Thanks for taking the time to contact us via the Community. It's lovely having you on board with us in the Forums. ⭐
We're sorry to hear you were having issues with your set top box. As mentioned by japitts, once the green screen comes on, it's usually a case of a replacement box being needed. As it's recovered for now, we'll leave things as it is. If you experience the fault again though, pop back and let us know so we can help further.
Thanks,

Hi Kath,
Rather than me waiting for the inevitable and then being without a box/tv, am I able to get it replaced now as it sounds like it is only a matter of time before it dies. Since it came back on, it has been turning itself off and on regularly which it never did previously

Thanks for coming back to us mollymootuppenc, and we're sorry to hear of the set top box rebooting itself on it's own accord since the recent green screen has appeared.
Check out the envelope in the top right hand corner for a private message from me
Thanks,
David_Bn
