Remove apps from the tivo v6 box
Is there a way to remove apps from a Tivo V6 box.
There is a parental control issue whereby you can password protect the Amazon, Netflix and Youtube channels, but not lock the apps

VM TV boxes are not like Android or Apple devices where you can add or remove apps as you decide - these are pre-set & pre-installed.
What functionality are you trying to achieve, that's different from the PIN being required before an app will load?
The only apps you can lock are PlutoTV and Youtube.
I want to lock other apps, such as Netflix and Prime Video

If you want to lock apps other than PlutoTV and Youtube then you will need to migrate to the TV360 box, and as per my original post on this thread the default box PIN is used. If you did switch to the 360 box then you would need to ensure that you didn't reveal the PIN to the person/people that you didn't want to access those 'protected' apps. The 'lock' would work on that VM set top box.

You can lock individual apps and channels on the Stream and TV360 boxes, however they use the same PIN as the default one, or the one that you changes it to, os if they know the pin they can still access locked apps and channels,
