Hi Melormouse, have you resolved this yet as I have the exact same issue which is a pain in the butt!

It's usually better to start a new thread explaining your issue, than tack onto someone else's.

With that in mind, can you explain the problem you have with your VM service? The thread you added to was regarding picture breakup on certain channels?

As the previous thread, I set a series of Sky Witness programmes for evening recordings, however the VM service decides to record it in the early hours of the morning typically between 01:00 and 03:00 the morning before the show was set to record.

This would be ok, but in nearly every occasion, the screen breaks up and can be unwatchable. In these instances I have deleted the original recording and then played the earlier recording as playback rather than a recording!

      Why is this happening?

There was a spate of threads reporting this a few weeks back, I too have a few Sky Witness series set on SL and - as per design - my V6 often records an overnight first showing.

A couple of episodes have had momentary picture breakup, which I put down to overnight transmission changes. I'd suggest using OnDemand to pick up any episodes with issues, but if you can view the affected channels normally, then the issue can only realistically put down to some engineering work at the time of transmission.
