Box has deleted recordings

Hi, our box has deleted all recordings and planed recordings, it was all ok last night. Everything that was on there has disappeared.

    I assume you actually have a 360 box rather than a V6? Likely a V6 that was switched to the 360 software at some point? This seems to be a common issue with the 360, especially boxes that have been switched from V6. Generally the opinion is that you should try and get the box replaced as it will probably happen again, there is no way to recover the recordings or series links.

      I'm pretty sure we have a v6 box it was switched from a old old box last year I think

        A V6 box runs TiVo-software and has the TiVo-logo in the top-right next to the video preview screen within the menu system.

        A TV360 runs Horizon software, has voice control, and doesn't use TiVo or have the logo. If you're not sure - post a photo of your box's menu system.

        TV360 boxes do have some form in deleting recordings, for a V6 this would be highly unusual.

        Hi Deborah30, 

        Thanks for coming back to us on this one. Checking here, we can see you have a 360 box. This is different to a V6 box and operates on a different software. Have you recently performed a reset on the box? If so, with a 360, there are 2 options.

        The first option allows you to keep recordings. This is not a complete factory reset so you won't lose your recordings, however you will need to sign into apps such as  Netflix, Prime, iPlayer and ITV Hub again. The second option allows you to format the disk (selecting this one will delete everything including recordings, planned recordings and profiles).

        If you've selected the second option, this would cause all your recordings to be deleted. Since they were deleted, have you had any further issues?

    To add, V6 boxes run TiVo-software and have the TiVo-logo in the top-right of the menu system next to the video preview screen.

    TV360 boxes run Horizon-firmware and don't have this. The box hardware is the same, but the software is very different.
