Volume is too high when low volume levels selected

Recently been upgraded from V6 to 360.
Generally happy with it.
One issue is that since moving to 360, when low volume levels are selected using the 360 (or linked TV) remote, the volume levels are quite high.
For evening viewing level 4 is ok, but if I go it 5 its quite a volume jump and is too high for a quiet room.
Level 6 is just too high.
With my old V6 setup I would use levels up to about 12, and volume increase between each level was quite small.  So I was able to fine yune my listening level.  Deffo cant do that with the 360.

Is there anything that can be done to get that fine tuning of volume on the 360 ?

  • You could try using a different audio setting to see if that makes any difference, if you are only using your TV's speakers try a PCM setting although these usually make things louder in my experience.

    Settings > Audio & Video > Audio output has 3 options;

    • Follow content
    • PCM 5.1
    • PCM 2.0

      Hi manncubdad,

      Thanks for taking the time to contact us via the Community. It's lovely having you on board with us in the Forums. ⭐

      We're sorry to hear this is happening. The standard volume is decided by the channel provider directly. Any volume changes will then further depend on if you have equipment set up, such as surround sound or a sound bar, and it will also depend on your settings.

      Please follow the advice given by roy247, and pop an update back here.

      Many thanks,
