Virgin 360 is rubbish

I've been with Virgin for years but this new app could herald a break up. Since upgrading I've had nothing but trouble,  apps not loading, playback failures, constantly having to reboot, do factory reset which means signing into apps over and over again. I've had an engineer come out and replace the box too. I think there are serious issues with this upgrade and Virgin need to sort it out !

All the symptoms you describe, sound like that of a fault to me. The playback failures could be the sign of a hard drive problem, which can occasionally happen when V6 are converted into TV360.

I suspect you've been unlucky with the replacement box.

A many have found out, this is not an upgrade, it is a migration to a different TV platform with a completely different server based operating system.

VM is now owned by a multi-national European cable operator, that has imposed their own TV platform (Horizon, that drives V360) on VM in both the UK and Ireland. They no longer want to pay TiVO for the existing TV platform that they see as unnecessary expense.

And it gets worse. Both VM & Sky are now automatically giving new customers Stream boxes with no internal storage as services move away from broadcast via cable & satellite TV services to IPTV over full fibre.
