Recently every time I turn on the TV I get a “Welcome” screen for a few seconds like when you reset the box?
I also have to keep signing into apps every time I try to use one, so it’s as if every time I turn the TV off it resets in part?
Anyone any idea on what’s going on and how to resolve it?

in answer to the questions the “One power” is off in the settings. Every time I finish using the tv I turn the box off using the red button (top right) on remote control and I turn the tv off using the TV button (top left) I have done this ever since upgrading the exiting box that I had to 360.
The “Welcome” greeting has only started in the last few days, but the repeated having to sign in again to apps has been going on for a couple of weeks, not every time, at apparently random times.
I note that someone said that this could be a sign of a failing box. Does this sound more likely after the above information?
Any response from Virgin would be appreciated!!

If you aren't switching the 360 off with the switch on the back of the box or at the plug then it could be one of the signs of a failing 360 box if you have to sign into your apps every time.

Are you turning the TV Off, or the 360 Off, or both?
Are you using the 360 remote to turn off the TV? If so, which button on the 360 remote?
The white power button on the left hand side of the 360 remote only turns off the TV.
If you use the red power button on the top right hand side of the 360 remote then it switches Off the 360 set top box, and if One Power is enabled on the 360 box it will also switch off most TV's at the same time.
If you turn off the 360 box by the rocker switch on the back of the 360 or by the wall socket then it turns it off completely and displays the Welcome screen when rebooting.
My 360 box shows the Welcome screen and I have to sign into most apps if the box receives an over the air update, or if I turn it off using the One Power button, the rocker switch or the wall switch.
