V360 - Watchlist no longer shown

Hi

I have just tried to go to my watchlist on the V360 box but it is no longer shown and I can see that the layout of the home page has just changed. The info page under settings shows I am on version 5.22.

Can you please explain what has happened to the watchlist? I can still see it on the app.

I have rebooted but made no difference.

Regards

  • I too have the same problem, my continue watching rail is missing and my watchlist is missing from my home page. I'm on version 5.22

Please can you look into this as it is essential I can access the continue watching feature.

  • I am also having this issue no watchlist or continue watching option on Home Screen but also I have no tv shows showing under the different channels in the tv shows section of the Home Screen

      Hi Embassy1

The U channel category, plus U&alibi and U&Gold are populated with programs on my 360, as are the Sky channel categories with the exception of Sky History and Sky History2.

All the rest of the "channels" show the message "Looks like there's nothing under this filter. Try again later or tweak your search options to see what else you can find"

It seems to be though you can use the Search feature.

Performing a Search for "Ancient Aliens" from the search bar from the TV Shows > Channels > Home screen brought up 21 series titles from both the Blaze channel and Sky History and Sky History 2 channels.

Performing a Search for "Ancient Aliens" from the search icon on both the Blaze channel, and the Sky History channels also brings up the program titles.

Yes mines the same I have that message on the majority of channels apart from a select few… and yes I could search for the program I want to watch except I don’t know the name of the show as I just saw an advert for it that looked interesting and all I know is the channel it was on

  • You can get the watchlist by asking for it in the microphone, but Continue Watching has also gone and can't get that the same way

  • same here can we please have an update of what is happening and also advise the virgin chat as the lady I have been chatting to does not seem to know anything about it and I have had to give her the problem number

  • My Watchlist and Continue Watching on the V360 box have vanished.

I can get Watchlist by voice activation, but then it disappears again.

I have unplugged/rebooted from power, no difference. Did Factory reset, no difference.

I am on System version 5.22.

    Kind Regards

    On our wavelength

Hi. This is been an issue for over a year now.  I’ve carried out several remedies but to no avail. About 6 months ago,   I had my 360 and a mini box, replaced together.  I’ve also connected the 360 box to the router using a network cable to make it more stable.

last week my watchlist disappeared, and after seeing your message, I checked again, and it’s disappeared again! I’ve now resorted to taking screenshots of my Watchlist! It sounds to me that it happens when there’s been an update.

      Hi SCJC57

Thanks for posting and welcome back to the community.

Sorry to hear your Watchlist has disappeared. Software or firmware upgrades should not be causing this though.

Have you noticed that the box has had either a software/firmware upgrade when the Watchlist is gone?

      Best wishes.

This is a bug at the back end, so not a fault with any box. Let's say a backend change is buggy and that causes something on the home screen to break. Why? Because the UI (user interface) is dynamically built by Lightning, and Lightning is defensive: if the backend returns malformed data and as a result a rail fails to initialise it is silently dropped, and the result: Watchlist vanishes.

When you say “Watchlist” the voice service calls the Watchlist backend directly and works as it bypasses the Home screen assembly entirely.

The reason why this fault is taking weeks to fix as there might be a backend bug to fix and the UI then has to be tested as well.
