I would expect the Install Now app that starts the actual set top box migration to the 360 platform to appear within the next day or two.
It's actually great news that you've already received the 360 remote control as there have been problems with VM equipment not being sent out within the last week or two due to warehouse issues. Perhaps VM have delayed sending the 'install app' to your box due to those delivery issues (normally the box auto updates 5 days after the remote(s) have been received, and if you hadn't received the remote(s) you would have actually lost your TV service)
The V6 normally performs an internet update around once every six hours. It's possible that the 'install app' might be pushed through this way so go to Home > Help & Settings > Settings > Network connection on your V6 box. Check the last successful connection and try “Connect to Virgin Media service” again, and that might push it through.
