TV360 remote won’t work

My existing TiVo box automatically switched to VirginTV 360 earlier this morning. I completed the installation but now I can’t get the control to work. The message on my tv screen says ‘… and we’ve even paired your new remote with your Toshiba TV.’ I don’t have a Toshiba TV - it’s a JVC model. Any suggestions?
