TV remote remote and volume issues since 360

I have a Sony SMART tv, linked to a Sonos beam and sub-mini.

Since the 360 'upgrade', I can no longer control the tv/ Sonos volume via the TV remote, even when the Virgin box is off, and the volume bar is no longer visible on the screen regardless of which remote I use.

Already regretting the upgrade. 

Anyone know if it's possible to roll-back to the old remote?

    Don't have a Sonos beam so just to clarify things for anyone else, is it Beam gen 1 or 2, are you connected TV to Sonos using HDMI-eARC connections and the 360 connected to your TV.

    I have LG TV and soundbar and if I change volume using the Virgin remote it only shows on the display on my soundbar, if the soundbar is off then it shows a volume bar on the TV.

    You can't go back to the old remote or V6 TiVo software which is what I assume you mean.
