TV 360 issues

Apologies, I don’t know if someone else has posted about this specific issue, there are so many going forum posts about how crap TV 360 is!

Anyway, my main issue is that, first time I use it every day, the remote does not switch on the box. Every day I turn the box off and on at the back, wait a few minutes for the Welcome screen to pass, and then the remote works absolutely fine for the rest of the day. Every single day.

Once that’s fixed, I’ll move on to the CS2400 error code I get every time I boot up BBC iPlayer, but that’s bugging me less because I can open it through my TV instead.

All suggestions / better providers welcomed!

TV360 does attract some very polarised opinions, many of them can be put down to the terminology used. It's marketed as an upgrade from TiVo/V6, when it's different.

You mention turning your box on at the wall - I take from that, that you're powering your TV360 off each night rather than using standby. If so, this could well be causing some of your issues. VM TV boxes are designed to be powered-up & connected 24/7.

Try leaving your TV360 powered-up at night, and quite a few background startup processes don't have a run every morning. Your box will get the necessary overnight "BAU" updates when intended, and will likely run a lot quicker as a direct result.

Hi, thanks for the response. I don’t know how you drew those conclusions from my message though! The box is always either on or on standby, the only time it is ever “off” is the few seconds in the morning when it’s on standby but I have to flick the switch at the back of the box (I have never turned it off at the wall) off and back on again to allow the remote to work.

        Hello stozz20

Sorry to hear of the 360 issues experienced and the frustration this has caused. We appreciate you raising this via the forums.

Can you confirm, at night or when the box is last used, do you put it into stand by using the remote but when you come to use the set top box the next time the remote power button doesn't activate the box?

We have help here in regards to the remote and to ensure it is paired correctly. The error message CS2400 indicates an issue with the app your trying to access being unavailable. Please follow the steps here for diagnostics for this particular issue.

Does the box turn on when you press the standby button on the box itself (where the light is)? This would tell us whether it’s the remote itself or the box locking up.
