Request 360 box
Hi, has anyone successfully recently signed up as a new customer for a tv broadband package online with the default box being a Stream box, but managed to change it to a 360 box?
Hi, has anyone successfully recently signed up as a new customer for a tv broadband package online with the default box being a Stream box, but managed to change it to a 360 box?
I signed up last week and was told I’d receive a Stream Box, but the documents in my email said I’d get a 360 Box and that’s exactly what I got. No extra charges were added.
I joined virgin 4 weeks ago and trialed the streaming as I was informed I could record/fast forward & rewind, exactly the same as 360 box. This was a complete lie therefore I requested to change to the 360 box but they stated they do not do this anymore and all new customers are on stream. I mentioned the one off fee and again, they stated they are not doing them any longer.
I ended up cancelling my TV service & resorted back to my old provider.
You mean sign up over the phone, not online?
Yes, you can for an additional fee of £49.99 However, it is dependant on your connection. If you are on the new Nexfibre XGS-PON fibre, then you can only have the Stream box. The older cabled areas can get the 360 boxes.
Max of 1 gig available (not 2) so looks like older cabled areas.
At what point would we request the box? Was hoping to sign up online to get 3 months free and TopCashback then call telesales?
Bearing in mind the problems some new customers have had in getting cashbacks paid, you may find that changing the contract will stop you receiving the money.
