Recordings deleted

All recordings in my Virgin TV box have been deleted. No idea how. I have tried factory reset but no luck. Any other things to try?

  • If all your recordings and planned recordings have been deleted it's a very good sign that you have a faulty box and will need replacing.

    You can either call Virgin on 150 from a Virgin phone, mobile or landline, or 0345 454 1111 from any other phone to report a fault, or wait here for one of the forum team to pick this up which might be 2 to 3 day's.

    They might suggest you set the Auto delete option to off, it probably already is and shouldn't affect planned recordings but you can check by doing the following;

    Press Home > Recordings > Recorded > View All > Manage Storage > Enter your pin > Auto delete when space needed > Set to Off.

  • My mother's box did this last week - all saved and planned recordings.

    CS were useless as the person - who had obviously never even seen a 360 box - said that she had set her 'auto delete' settings wrong. He would not budge from that statement and so no progress on this route.

    The fact that planned recordings had gone to was not on his script so he would not continue.

    Eventually, through another call, got to speak to somebody who said faulty box and got it replaced.

    I usually say that the "wait for a forum mod" can be a slow router - but may actually be your only route when VM is one of the now many companies that use call centres which do not have the resources to help many customers and also refuse to progress the issue!

  • Hi Snidget123 👋 Thank you for your post and welcome to the Virgin Media Community 😀

    We're sorry to hear about what's happened 😔

    In the event that the suggestion provided by roy247 doesn't have the desired effect, we'll send you a private message on here to discuss the matter further. Look out for the envelope in the top right-hand corner.
