Recordings all gone?

Having been a customer with this once decent service for 20+ years, this downgrade from TiVo to the appalling 360 might be the last straw. For the second time, my box has wiped all recordings without a warning or reason on re-start.

I have no menu option to wipe it or not wipe it when full (which it wasn’t) and no warning it would wipe itself.

I think I’m just about done with this tv service.

Do Virgin have a customer helpline to talk to a human these days? Thanks

  • If the 360 has deleted your recordings and planned recordings it's a sign that the box is faulty.

    You could try a factory reset of the 360, and if you haven't got any recordings you might as well go for the format disk option and if or 'when' the box deletes everything again then try  phoning Virgin's AI support which I believe from other posts that's all you get.

    The other option is to wait for one of the forum team to respond which might be 2 to 3 day's.

    Make sure the Auto delete option is set to off, it probably already is and shouldn't affect planned recordings but you can check by doing the following;

    Press Home > Recordings > Recorded > View All > Manage Storage > Enter your pin > Auto delete when space needed > Set to Off.

        If you can't pause and rewind live TV like you say above, then you do need the box replacing as it points towards a hard drive problem.

        Hopefully Carley_S or another member of the forum team can arrange an engineer for you. 🤞

  • Hi Hate360

    Welcome to the Community Forums.

    Sorry to hear about your concerns with your recordings since the TV360 upgrade.

    Do you have any issues at all pausing or rewinding on the main TV360 set-top box?

      I did. Before the box reset and emptied itself. Netflix and the likes wouldn’t play and pause and rewind wouldn’t work. It’s a shambles. I miss TiVo

    The 360 box is just the half-way step to only streaming, which will happen when you are converted to FTTP.

    They want you to get used to it.

    I tried a reset on this and the box now seems to be looong beteeen the welcome screen and a download icon with no sign of change. I just want to leave Virgin at this stage
