Picture quality sky sports

Anyone noticed that skysports picture quality is awful? The logo for red button is crystal clear but noticed today that the players were a blurry mess. Went on bt sport for Arsenal and it was crisp and clean

Are sky throttling their live signal to virgin? Why else would the virgin press red be totally clear...
