Hi Kermit-The-Frog
Are you saying that you have no recordings at all stored on the box?
Or that programs you have set up to record during times the box is turned off haven't been recorded?
If you turn the box off at the plug, or by using the on/off switch on the 360 box then it won't be able to receive the signal to record.
Also the EPG updates approx every two hours, and the box downloads software updates overnight. If the box is left in Standby instead of being turned off it will reboot faster and any software updates will also be applied more quickly.
As long as you aren't switching the 360 off at the plug, or via the on/off switch and the 360 box is set to **Fast Start or Active Start then it should stay in a Standby mode where it can still record and receive updates, if it's set to eco then it is a bit like switching the box off.
**Pressing Home > Settings > System > Standby power consumption, you are presented with 3 options Fast Start, Active Start, and Eco (slow start)
If however all of your recordings are disappearing then that's normally the sign of a faulty hard drive. If you pause a live program for a few minutes and then play it back and have any issues with that paused program then it's like playing back a recording and indicative of a hard drive problem.
