    Hi again SallyRead

It's very seldom that happy people post on any forums.  Most post requesting help or to complain.

The majority of people don't like change and so initially tend to be dissatisfied or unhappy until they get used to new equipment or systems.

I've had the 360 boxes for around 3 years and am very happy with them.  The box doesn't have all the bells and whistles that the old tivo boxes had, but I never used most of them and so don't miss them.  I actually find the 360 easier to use, especially the voice control. See <this page>

If you do need any help, or have any questions, just shout up and we'll do our best to assist.

I use most of the Tivo 'bells and whistles' and won't be downgrading to 360 anytime soon.

If you do go down the cancellation route, worth asking then for a V6 box which runs the Tivo software (but much faster than the old Tivo box).  Its amazing how they can suddenly do the impossible if they think you're leaving ...

I don't think anyone has ever claimed that a reversion from TV360 > TiVo/V6 is impossible, unless you can quote a post where they have.

Do you know of someone who's done this, and had a TiVo/V6 installed subsequently?

Yes, a few have managed to go from 360 back to V6  but it involves being out of contract, being assertive,  retentions  and an engineer with a replacement box with V6 software.

I've had the 360 for nearly three years and apart from a couple of missing TiVo features it's a great fast box and works well.

    There you go 😁

  • I've had the 360 for 11 months, it is a piece of garbage compared to the previous boxes I had with C&W, NTL and VM. Under no circumstances should you downgrade to this box.

  • There are "a few missing features" that the TiVo V6 had but not a lot of them were used by everyone, I miss some of them but you just need to try and work around the missing features depending on how they affect you.

@SallyRead  hasn't actually said what her problems are in this post if she itemised them maybe she would get some advice.

If its losing functionality , how is that an 'upgrade'?

You could say the box isn't losing any functions, it's primary function's are showing live TV and recording which it still does.

It's just lost some features about the way you watch and record things.

As has been said before it isn't necessarily an upgrade just different software, if the 360 can either 5 or 6 stream boxes connected then that might be considered an upgrade over the V6.

The V6 is better developed, not surprising as its TiVo has been around for a long time. Obvious benefit is not relying on a server for playing recordings, series link works better I think. However if I were to revert I'd miss voice control. Also new apps are all appearing on the 360 (including Apple TV+, DAZN, Disney+, Paramount+ and U) and I'd expect a Max app to be on the 360 and Stream boxes only. I think some people make far too much noise about the 360's shortcomings whilst saying little of those of the V6. And we are all going to get migrated to Stream, like it or not.
