Iplayer stops working

I have three 360 boxes in my multiroom package - iplayer works perfectly on two if them but on the third one it regularly stops working.

Selecting the app gives a black screen and no activity.

Rebooting the box sorts it out and it works again, opening Iplayer successfully. It carries on working fir a week or so then stops.

All other streaming services we use are not affected and work with no issues.

Any suggestions on how to keep iplayer available?

  • Do you have one 360 main box and 2 mini boxes and it's one of the mini boxes that has the problem. If that is the case and all the settings are identical (mainly both set to fast start or active start and not switched off at the plug) you could try swapping the boxes around to see if the problem follows the box.

      Welcome back to the Community Forums. 

      Sorry to hear of your concerns with iPlayer on one of your set-top boxes. 

      Has checking the settings that roy247 has kindly advised helped to identify the issue?

      Are you able to check the signal strength in the room with the other set-top box to see if there's a possible signal concern? You can do this on the set-top box itself in the network settings< or on a mobile device using the Connect App or Sam Knows.  

      If not, then does the issue when swapping the boxes around, as roy247 also advised, follow the set-top box, or do you find the issue stays within the room?
