I can't watch recorded tv programmes

Last weekend I recorded the F1 motor racing on C4 and managed to watch part of it but now want to watch the rest of it. When you click on it you can see it is partly watched but when you click again to watch it the only option is to 'Delete Recording which seems crazy. Also in the top left hand corner under the tv programme name there's a padlock and a red dot. Further along to the right it says PG. I've checked the Settings and there's no privacy type settings on any channels which might affect it which would need a Pin number to access it.

Any ideas how I can sort out this problem?

    Hey ScenicPaul, thank you for reaching out and we are sorry to hear you are having issues watching the F1.

    Now is this only happening with F1?

    This may be down to licensing rules, they re getting strict on recording live events such as sports especially.

    Can you try another random programme to see if you have these issues or not? Cheers

      Sorry to interject here, but I have never once known recordings to be affected by licencing rules. One of the reasons for recording rather than using OnDemand is to avoid such issues!

      I'm minded to think this is a TV360 quirk, but I agree with the suggestion to try another programme as a test. Perhaps even test a sports programme and something non-sporting.

    Was it a recording or on-demand?  C4 only holds F1 for seven days.

      It was a recording. C4 only shows highlights rather than live on Sky Sports F1. As I said I watched the main race but wanted to carry on watching it later for the post race reviews,etc.

    Sorry for late response as I hadn't had an email to say that someone on this community help page had responded.  I didn't know that C4 only held F1 recordings for 7 days. That's really annoying.  As regards japitts comments it has happened on other tv programmes which we have recorded recently. It probably didn't help that we've recently moved house to a different part of England so the set top box,etc was unplugged for a few days and the tv programmes we recorded before we moved we weren't able to watch only delete.  I've now cancelled all the planned recording and rescheduled them to record so hopefully that will solve the problem.

    I had this a few weeks ago on trying to watch a recording of The Apprentice, probably some corruption or glitch which occasionally occurs. It's only a problem if it keeps happening.
