Does V360 box support Dolby Vision?

As title says, does the V360 box support Dolby Vision?

My thought is it probably doesn't since when browsing content on Netflix, the DV symbol does not show like it does if I go to the Netflix app on my TV set. This is the main reason stopping me switching to the 360box for everything.

Have also tried Disney+ to be sure & the content only plays at 4K, not HDR.

  • Try Death on the Nile, the new one, on Disney + that plays in HDR with Dolby Atmos according to my LG TV and soundbar.

Thanks Roy. You're right that HDR content plays, however Dolby Vision is Dolby's version of HDR.

Looks like it's not supported disappointingly. On the VM box Disney+ lists HD & HDR, 4K as playable formats. Meanwhile on the LG app it lists HD, HDR10, 4K, Dolby Vision. Shame

Be nice to see HDR 10 plus supported (Samsung Tv's and Panasonic I beleive)

  • Dolby Vision tends to be something done on devices paid primarily for strreamiing - like Smart tvs, firesticks etc.

Devices made for tv reception which have streaming as add-ons tend not to have Dolby Vision - like VM, Sky, BT etc.

I also read that adding Dolby Vision is an expensive licence which the box provider has to pay for.

  • Now that Apple TV+ has been added to the box the same issue has resurfaced as all of ATV’s own content is in Dolby Vision and shows as such in the 360 app yet only plays as HDR. As my TV will show the same shows in DV there seems little point in using the 360 ATV app or similar apps with DV shows on the 360.

I came across this today. I always watch the likes of Netflix and Disney via the apps on my Panasonic smart tv, therefore enjoying the added bonus of Dolby Vision. This doesn’t appear to be the case with the 360 box apps, but to be fair the 4k quality is still rather impressive
