The Disney plus interface on Virgin 360 has always been excruciatingly slow compared to the others (Amazon, Netflix, Youtube, ITVX, Channel 4, iPlayer etc) but is now unusably laggy and fails to load most choices. Those it does eventually load will not play. Selecting anything displays a spinner for 3 - 4 minutes then a black screen appears. If the interface is activated there is a timeline which will scroll with pictures, but the content doesn't play.
It feels like it's something to do with the either the app or the Virgin box or the interaction of the two, but really idk.
Hi Drolf
Which device are you having problems with the Disney+ app on?
You can't have reinstalled the Disney+ app on the VM TV360 box. There is no way to add or remove apps on VM boxes, thta's all controlled by VM.
There are sometimes problems with apps due to the HDMI cable, especially if not using a high speed HDMI cable, either HDMI2.1 or HDMI2.2 are preferable.
A black screen can be due to due to a difference in frame rates on the 360. Go to Settings >Audio & Video > Match frame rate. If it's set to ON then people do see a blackout/or hear a sound drop when the 360 or HDMI reconfigures for the difference in frame rate.(This is more noticable on live TV when switching from adverts back to a program, or changing channels) If it's set to the default (OFF) then the box just accepts the frame rate difference which isn't noticeable by most users and shouldn't blank the screen out. Either way try toggling this setting to see if it solves your issues.
The Disney+ app on my 360 is version 2.70.0, and under the Disney+ App settings I have Data usage set to Automatic. (you can also change that to the Moderate or Save data setting from within there)
I have no issues using the Disney+ app on my LG TV either (LG OLED48C46LA) webOS24 /9.2.24-48. or on the Disny+ app on the TV which is version 25.17.0 and on Automatic the same as my 360. No issue with the app on my Fire TV Cube either (version 4.15.0+rc3-2025.09.04)
