Deleted recordings & Channel names turning white

Hi, I’m pretty new to posting on here and not sure if I am posting in the right forum 😫 I have a couple of questions if anyone can help.

Q1. I have a 360 box and wondered if anyone can please explain why the channel names in the 360 guide or when you’re scrolling through channels are sometimes in white and are not in colour? When they are white you can’t go back and watch a programme from the beginning.

Q2. Is there a solution to the 360 deleting all my recorded and planned recordings? I have checked my settings and made sure that automatic delete is off.

TIA

  • Hi Darcy68,

Q1; If the channel names and programmes are in grey it usually means that channel isn't included in your package, when the Catch-up icon is in grey it usually means it's not available on that channel until the programme has finished and then it turns white, usually on BBC everything is available to watch on iPlayer so it's always white.

Q2; The bad news is if the 360 is deleting all your recordings and planned recordings it's faulty and needs replacing.

You can either call Virgin on 150 from a Virgin phone, mobile or landline, or 0345 454 1111 from any other phone to report a fault, or wait here for one of the forum team to pick this up which might be 2 to 3 day's.

When phoning choose the option to report a fault, then ignore all the options offered and hopefully you should then be placed into a queue to speak to someone.

You could also try a factory reset of the 360, and if you haven't got any recordings you might as well go for the format disk option and if or 'when' the box deletes everything again then phone Virgin.

The factory reset option suggested by roy247 has worked, but thanks for taking the time to help.
