Buffering on Sky Sports News only

Hi, only Sky Sports News channel is buffering and breaking up. Just started over the weekend with no other channels affected. Normal reboot actions have no effect. Any advice please gratefully accepted 😀

When you say buffering, do you mean picture pixellation?

Buffering is normally associated with internet-connectivity which is used for streaming & OnDemand services. Live TV would normally pixellate & breakup when there are signal issues.

  • Hi, I have exactly the same issue here which started over the weekend. Sky sports news 509 but not when same programme is on 501 in the morning, 510 etc. programmes stuttering and breaking up etc. in Leeds and cannot see any faults. Tried home solutions so think in is a VM issue.

Rather than start another new thread for "the same issue", it's best to keep your issues to the post you've already started and use the reply function.

I presume that your reference to buffering, means pixellation. Pixellated pictures on live TV are often the sign of a signal fault. If you've rebooted your box once, then there's likely a fault somewhere, so this will need VM to intervene. You're likely to need either an engineer visit or a replacement box, depending on what VM's remote diagnostics turn up.

First check the automated faults line for any existing issues in your area that could be the cause: 0800 5610061. If nothing's reported, assume VM don't know about your fault and ideally you'll need to call them.

150 from a VM phone, 0345 4541111 from any other phone - choose the options for "I have a fault with my TV service". Alternatively you can wait on here for staff to respond, which may take a day or so.

      Up to speed

I'm in Leeds with same issue. There's another thread outlining the same problem with SS Mix and some of the TNT channels also affected.
