Are smart recordings possible?

On the Tivo/V6 hub it was possible to set up Smart Recordings, e.g. set it record any show with a particular actor, band, presenter, etc., and any show they appeared on, it created a folder and saved the recording in it.

Is it possible to set these up on Virgin 360?

  • You are describing the TiVO "wishlists" function, which unfortunately is TiVO patented & cannot be duplicated on the Horizon TV platform VM is moving customers too.

No, as you've been 'upgraded'. This means getting less functions. Its VMs own strange definition of the word...

  • @Mr_K it’s annoying. I put off “upgrading” but everytime I opened the mobile app a pop-up told me the software was no longer supported, and ultimately they’ll make everyone move across to 360 so decided to bite the bullet.

The V6 is still supported (I have 2), & you can still get fault replacements. The BBC iPlayer is no longer supported on the older TiVO boxes, but still works on the V6. Apart from a few new apps & a few FAST channels, the services on V6 & V360 are the same.

The pop-ups on the TV Control app don't say "TiVo is no longer supported". They refer to the V6 "using old software" and that the TV Control app will "not receive any further updates".

Nowhere is there any reference to TiVo-software not being supported.
