Apple TV +

Anyone else having issues with Apple TV +, suddenly very jumpy, like it's losing signal for a split second, even sound bar registers it's gone and come back. I'm connected via ethernet and nothing else is affected.

  • I found this thread after googling because I’m having the same issue. Only the Apple app, not any other streaming apps.

  • I have the same probleem with the Apple TV app on the VM streambox. The movie buffers and sometimes the picture continues whilst the sound stops briefly. It is now so bad that it is no longer possible to watch movies on Apple TV. I have checked that this is not an Apple TV problem, the movies are perfectly watchable on my now ancient Apple TV. I have no problem watching movies on Netflix, BBC iPlayer or any of the other media apps I tried so far. As far as I am concerned this problem is therefore limited to the Apple TV app software on the VM Streambox. I tried therefore to limit the playback resolution of the Apple TV app in its setup section by selecting SD only. Doing so did not resolve the issue. I tried there video problems diagnostics routine in the Apple TV app. This routine returns a black screen and yield no diagnostic results. Does anyone have any ideas please or am I going to have to buy a new Apple TV player after all?

  • I'm having the exact same issue, the issue is clearly with Virgin Media, when I watch an Apple TV show using the app on my TV, I have no issues whatsoever.

  • Same problem. Rebooting doesn't help, nothing special attached, 100% an app problem, fine on another system. Hope they can fix with an update we do like using everything through VM.

This is also affecting my Stream Box.

Jerky and sound dropout every few minutes. Only an issue on Apple app.

Yes, I've rebooted and have a wired connection.

I think there's enough info on this thread to establish that it's not multiple single-user issues.

      Thanks
