    On our wavelength

Hi I updated to 360 box 6 weeks ago I am 74 just took a little thinking on using the main layout it is different to TiVo but I have got used to it pretty quickly I find the most annoying thing is it doesn’t show 1st aired date and doesn’t show if a repeat program sometimes it’s say new but thats all. Also the TV guide is ok but the TiVo one was better I think but i am ok with it now. it’s a learning curve but you will manage ok.

Thanks for replying I feel a bit better as long as I can see all the channels and get programmes to record as,easy as in theistic box I will be happy as I iceberg with Kubrick box I am retired so have plenty of time to get used to it and I hope the engineer will give me as much guidance as you say jts,a learning curve

  • The new interface is a little bit of a culture shock at first, but you soon get used to it.

I can highly recommend learning to use the voice commands, as you rarely need the menus then! To get to a specific channel, you can just hold the button and say channel names, like "BBC One" or "Sky Mix HD", etc. Other useful ones to start with are "My Recordings" to go straight to the recordings list, "Skip forward x second/minutes" (e.g. "Skip forward 3 minutes" or "Skip back 30 seconds") instead of pressing the forward/back buttons multiple times to do things like skipping adverts.

If you want to go straight to an app, like Prime Video or YouTube, just hold the button and say the name of the app.

There are things I miss from the V6, and some new annoyances (like getting an advert when I switch it on!) but its not quite as bad as some people say.

Has the above helped at all or are you still need some questions answered about this?
