360 BOX

Hi

I am having problems with my tivo box. it keeps asking me to sign in to stv player, bbc iplayer etc every time I want to watch something.This is clearly not right.

It has happened ever since I done the 360 upgrade 

Please can you send me a new 360 box, or an engineer

    Just a very minor point in case you need to call CS.  It's not a Tivo 360, just a 360 as the Tivo software is not used, its the VM Horizon software on your 360 now.  It might confuse if you mention Tivo.  I have seen reports on the boards here about the older V6's not liking the upgrade at times.  Have you tried a full reset on the V6 as a matter of interest?

      It's a very valid point Adduxi... but it's not the V6 that should be given a full reset.... it's the TV360.

      When a V6 is reformatted to install Horizon-software in-place of TiVo-software, it becomes a TV360. And I agree that some ex-V6 that are converted into TV360-master don't always like the conversion, but the symptoms are usually HDD-related.

      Logging out of online-apps I don't think is specific to converted boxes, in fairness.

    Yes Ive tried complete reboot, disconnection, from wall, and unplugged all cables for half an hour and reinstalled cables, still the same

      We're sorry to hear the apps are asking you to sign in each time. When signing in, please ensure if there is an option to remember details, you select this. 

      It's worth doing a complete reset of the box to see if this helps. You are offered two choices when resetting the 360. Start by following: Settings > System> Factory Reset >

      • First option - Keep recordings - Select this one. This is not a complete factory reset so you won't lose your recordings, however you will need to sign into apps such as Netflix, Prime, iPlayer and ITV Hub again but hopefully it will remember the details so you won't need to re-sign in each time the app is launched.
      • Second Option - Format disk ( selecting this one will delete everything including recordings,  planned recordings and profiles)

      Please select the first option and let us know how you get on.
