2nd v6 box stuck in boot loop after 360 upgrade

So about 2 weeks ago I upgraded from v6 to 360.

The upgrade seemed to go OK with both boxes, but now after an eco shiutdown (please Virgin can we have the abilty to turn that OFF... some of us want to keep our boxes on)  the 2nd box is now stuck in a constant boot loop. It shows the welcome screen, then a download icon for a bit, but then loops back around.

Rebooting the box has made no difference, and I suspect the box is now bricked.

Any ideas?

  • Got same issue today after getting problems with viewing recording last night. Now all we are getting is welcome screen. Sometimes a download icon and restart.  Reset router twice and TiVo box a number of times.

  • Hi Ian2773

Welcome back to our Community Forums and thanks for your post.

I am sorry to hear you are having this issue and rebooting hasn't helped.

Can you try resetting the box?

    Hi Ian2773

There are four eco shutdown (standby) setting options:  4,5,6 and 24 hours.  I have mine set to 24 hours, using that setting I've found that the box only goes off if I haven't changed channels for 24 hours.

As to the box being stuck in a  bootloop. Try turning off the box using the switch on the back of the box;  then on the front of the box  hold down both the power button and the - (minus) button at the same time. Then turn on the box again whilst keeping hold of those buttons for a further 30 seconds.

If the power button and the - (minus)  button workaround doesn't solve it then please try using the power button and the + (plus) button at the same time instead.
