Virgin Media web page my account not showing my correct post code [Mod- under investigation]

After signing into my virgin media account , its says checking the service status, but doesn't show the correct post code where I live. Tried signing out and back in again and it then shows a completely different past code. Anyone got any ideas as to whats going on? I'm using Microsoft edge on Windows 24h2

  • Hi there Preston46, we're currently aware that there is an issue with the incorrect postcode showing on the service status page. Sorry for the inconvenience and it's been logged internally and currently under investigation. 

  • Check for local faults on 0800 561 0061

    Edit: that shows the wrong (Kirkcaldy) postcode for me too

  • I have exactly the same problem and have just left a tortuous online chat, where I was repeatedly told my account postcode is correct, in the end I couldn't take anymore and searched on here instead. It happens on a web page and on the mobile app.

  • The plot thickens, if I click further on it tells me I have an engineer's visit tomorrow, with a booking reference and somebody else's mobile phone number !

      OMG. I did wonder if a widespread GDPR breach might be at play here. Anyone else seeing other customers' details? 

      Edit : Apart from an ever changing postcode the rest of my details look correct at time of posting.

        To be fair, part of the mobile number was replaced by asterisks...btw I've now moved form Kircaldy to Wigan

  • I have also seen my post code mis reported in my app, I have also been asked if my postcode was correct when i rang the support line. i called twice today and each time it asked me if my postcode matched one that they stated, each of the ones they stated were different and neither were correct
