How do I access emails on the virgin media app?

I've been having no end of problems trying to get my emails back.  Yesterday I spent ages on a chat to someone who said that they'd changed bits finally on my account, so today I should be able to log into My Virgin Media, change my password, and then I'd have access to my webmail - or I could use the app.

I've never used the app before so I downloaded it, but can't see anywhere on it where I would access my emails.

This morning I've tried to change my password, they told me I should be able to say forgot password, but that doesn't happen.  It just sends me a link to get in without my password.

The website only shows my bills up until December last year whilst the app is up to date - I'm using the same login details.

I'm currently trying to change my password on the website, but its been saying Just a Moment for nearly 10 minutes now.  

Help?

    I've never used the app before so I downloaded it, but can't see anywhere on it where I would access my emails.

    Nicip1​  You can't use the My Virgin Media app to access your vm email account.  You either need to use a third party email app or go to mail.virginmedia.com to access VM webmail.

    The fact that the My VM website is only showing bills up to last December is odd but suggests that you may not be looking at your current account.  Have you had a break in service or moved house around that time that would have led to a new account being created?

    The VM Forum Team staff should be able to assist further by looking at you account details.

      Hi, its exactly the same account that I've always used and same details are used to log into the app.  It is weird.  I asked customer service but they're more concerned at getting my emails back.  Weird that they asked me if I could check if I could access emails through the app?  I've always logged in directly on my phone, I don't want to use a 3rd party app on there.  

      When they made me change my login to MVM to the same email address as I used to access my emails, access stopped and when I've looked the email account connected to that login was a defunct email address!

        Thanks for posting and welcome back to the community. Sorry for the advise given when you rang over the app and emails. Graham is correct, you cannot use the app for emails, it would only be via Webmail and/or third party email client.
