Lost access to my virgin emails
Normally access my emails through my virgin media app logging in using VMO2 ID and then via chrome browser. This morning it seems I have been locked out !
I have Followed all the instructions to change the password Through the My virgin media app ( I can still log inbut can’t find the step 3. Quick links to do it! Once I try to log in to the virgin media web mail I get sent back to Account unavailable message
- Sign in at My Virgin Media
- Enter your Virgin Media O2 ID
- Once you’re in, go to Quick links at the bottom of the page and select Virgin Media Mail. This will take you to your Virgin Media web mail inbox. Or sign in to Virgin Media web mail by going to mail.virginmedia.com
Any help would be most appreciated.
The password reset process is done through the My Virgin Media account for the email address concerned not via the VM webmail interface.
To create an email app password or update an existing one you need to follow these steps:
Sign into the My Virgin media account https://www.virginmedia.com/for the email concerned with your VMO2ID
Select Account Settings
Select Identity & Security Settings
Select Manage your products
Select Manage email app password
Click on the blue button 'Get New Password'Make a note of the generated password. This is what you use in the mail apps along with the vm email address as the username.
