Delete Virgin Media account

I've been trying to register my new account, but my email address is linked to a previous account number. The contract for the old account was cancelled, but I can still log in. I've tried updating the email address to a different one, but the verification email either new er arrives or does not work (says the link has expired). I just really need to remove my email from this inactive account so I can register my new account.

    Sorry to hear of the issues experienced with the requirement to rid the former account of your E-Mail address, so we can then free this up for your new account to be registered.
