The kit that needs returning is advised on the following VM page**, along with links to request returns packaging, print your own labels, links to your nearest yodel store etc
https://www.virginmedia.com/help/return-or-recycle-equipment
EDIT
**If you have recently joined VM and have non-Virgin Media equipment from a previous provider or older Virgin Media equipment and wish to send it for recycling. Please follow this link to create a new pre-paid label to return it to VM.
Alternatively, you can take the kit to your local O2 store or your local recycling centre. You can find out where here https://www.recyclenow.com/recycling-locator

Under the WEEE Regulations, companies are required to recycle any electrical equipment that they have provided.
But VM seem to have a somewhat relaxed interpretation of what is included in the rules, by providing a rather limited list of items.
Having obtained a returns package from VM, I included all their redundant items, including older devices not on their published list. I hope they appreciated the opportunity to recycle more items than they had expected to receive.

Are VM paying transport costs to the 'nearest recycling centre'? Its their rented equipment, they are responsible for recycling ( and planting a tree for each dead box, to be carbon neutral like the nice company they are 😀)
