virgin wifi pods issue: strong electrical burning smell, overheating and very hot to touch

Clearly a faulty pod, or a dodgy batch/product?

Electrical faults cause house fires yet Virgin simply saying they'll replace and of of course there was no apology whatsoever.

They did state it is a common problem though.

White pods, received in 2025, model PPO1-VM, sn: XBA123220DEC, made by Sercomm china

Good luck... use at your own peril it seems

      Hi SEK101 👋.

Thanks for reaching out to us and welcome to the Community Forums, apologies for the issues that you are facing with a Wi-Fi Max pod. If the pod is faulty we do strongly advise that you do not continue to have it powered on and wait for the replacement and send back the faulty one so that we can dispose of it. This is not common and in some cases there may be the odd faulty pod that can be damaged in transit or during the manufacturing process.

If you have not yet got this replaced I will drop you a private message. Please look out for the envelope on the top right of your web browser or if you are using a mobile device, it will be located under your profile icon.

      Thanks.

      Sabrina
