turning off voicemail

So, how do I get the landline voicemail turned off??

Basically, don't want/need it, but it appears that it is switched on, and no way to turn it off??

Have had recent phone calls saying we have new messages to listen to?? 

Not sure how this got turned on, as was originally off, but might have happened when we were switched over to the digital phone service a while ago..

    Hi HughJarsse,

    Thanks for your post. Sorry to hear you've been struggling to get the voicemail service turned off - this is something we need to do on our side, it can't be changed on the customer's end unfortunately.

    Sadly, there's no private message in my box?? (last one I had was from Lee, a week ago regarding internet speeds??)
