Turn off landline voicemail

I have tried to follow the instructions online by dialling 1571 to get this switched off.  My elderly parents are calling it by mistake and leaving messages which I then don't pick up.  Can one of the Forum Team please reach out to me as you seem too have done for others on here and get this resolved. Thanks

From experience, I'd leave it enabled at some point it is going to take a call that Mother or Father at A&E.

  • Hello Padiscamp

Thanks for posting in regards to your landline and voicemail, we appreciate you raising this via the forums and welcome to the community.

As advised by one of the forum members, the voicemail is really handy for emergency's, specially with elderly parents so we're a little confused as to why you wish this to be removed. Does the landline not ring when they call so your missing the messages?

We are able to support with this but just wanted to clarify the above. Let us know how you wish to proceed.

Please can someone just help me remove it.  I don’t need to get wrapped up in the reasons why.  I never asked for it, never realised it was part of my package and it is causing issues with my very elderly parents calling it.  Only they have the number so there is no reason whatsoever for it to remain.

That's fine, we just wanted to make sure you were aware of this before we went ahead and removed the service.
