Problems with home phone not ringing in.

Hi all I have a problem with my home phone, so I have a dial tone I can ring out.

But when people ring me the is no ring sound, I originally thought it was the phones so purchased new phones but same issue, when I try and test the line it says phone line in use but it is not in use.

Even stranger is if I put bt's trucaller on it will ring the moment I turn it off it stops ringing.

Trucaller only come on the new set of phone so only today I tried that.

Is it possible someone could be diverting my line somewhere else? It's a cordless analog phone.

 

Can't get help from virgin media they are closed and need the landline for emergencies

    Thank you for your post, welcome to the Community Forums.

    Sorry to hear that your incoming calls to your landline aren't ringing on your side. We usually call this particular type of issue a 'ring trip'. Thanks for trying a new handset, at least we can rule this out of being a possibility.

    I've had a look on this end and can't see any known issues that could be affecting you, so the next step would be an engineer visit.
