Porting BT landline number to Virgin

I've had a BT landline for many years and now want to port the number over to my Virgin home phone, can anyone tell me what the process is?

    Hi Radwoo,

    Thank you for reaching out to us in our community and welcome, if you already have a landline with us you can request to port it over, if you just kee

    pp the one landline the number would replace your current one, you can if needed get a 2nd line and keep both, in order to port the number over the line with BT will need to remain active, once the number comes over this would then close the line with them, once requested it does take up to 10 days.
