Noisy Land Line Connection

For the past couple of weeks i have had a loud buzzing and static noise on my landline which is causing disruption to my business as I work from home. I can;t hear my customers conversations clearly.

I have seen other messages and done all the checks as well as use an alternative phone but without result. 

 I tried to call for help but the messages wouldn't get past asking for money. ( My bill was issued just yesterday and is not due for payment till 4 Nov so was not relevant)

I need to get an engineers visit planned but can't find anywhere on your website to sort this and the "Contact Us" link does not give out any phone numbers for assistance so is pretty useless.

    We're sorry to hear of the issues you've been experiencing with the landline services.

    Can you please confirm if your handset is connected to the landline services via the master socket installed in your property, or if this is via an extension socket?

    Are there multiple handsets or other pieces of equipment connected to the landline service?

      It is connected directly to the master socket, but this is BT not Virgin. Its been there a long time. There are NO other handsets linked to the line.
